Webinars
The Just Transition Care initiative will run five webinars aimed at discussing different aspects of current ecological transitions.

Webinar 1: Domestic and Community Care
This webinar aims at discussing three general questions:
-
how do domestic and community care (DCC) contribute to the wellbeing of people and the planet?
-
how are domestic and community care affected by the Covid and climate crises?
-
what would it mean for a Just Transition (JT) strategy to take DCC into account?

Webinar 2: Food Production
This webinar concentrates on the connections between food production and Just Transitions through the perspectives of peasants and indigenous peoples.
The seminar addresses the following three questions:

-
How have peasants been affected by the Covid and climate crises?
-
What does “care work” mean for peasants and indigenous peoples, and how could this work be included in a JT strategy for food production?

Webinar 3: Healthcare
This webinar focuses on the intersection between healthcare and Just Transitions through the perspective of healthcare workers and labour activists. It addresses the following questions:

-
Is the JT strategy relevant to healthcare, particularly from the perspective of healthcare workers and communities? In what ways?
-
How is healthcare work affected by the social, economic and environmental crises and (how) can the response be framed in terms of JT?

Webinar 4: Earthcare
This webinar focuses on the intersection between Earthcare and Just Transitions through the perspective of indigenous people, peasants and firefighters. It addresses the following questions:

What are the obstacles “earthcare labour” has been facing lately up to present? What are the positive elements and relations sustaining earthcare labour?
